Permanent Make-up (Permanent Cosmetics)
Every day millions of women, and even some men, spend a portion of their dressing routine applying makeup, whether it's to enhance their eyes or lips or apply a fading brow. Unfortunately, most make-up wears off, smudges, gets transferred elsewhere or is just plain applied poorly to begin with. Permanent cosmetics are your solution to overcoming all of these scenarios.

WHAT IS PERMANENT COSMETICS?
Permanent Cosmetics, also known as intradermal pigmentation, is a method of applying micro insertions of natural pigments into the dermal layer of the skin. Intradermal pigmentation is used for a variety of permanent cosmetic enhancements such as permanent eyebrows, eye liner, nipple areola restoration, hairline enhancement and more.
IS PERMANENT COSMETICS RIGHT FOR ME?
Yes. Everyone can benefits from the convenience of permanent cosmetics, especially the following: busy people with little time to apply makeup, people with allergies to conventional makeup, people who are physically incapable of applying makeup, athletes who tend to shed makeup easily, burn survivors and people with flaws in their skin, and people with asymmetrical facial features.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT RIGHT AFTER TREATMENT?
Topical anesthetics are used to minimize discomfort during the procedure. There will be slight swelling and redness in the skin, which will subside quickly. Makeup will appear 30-40% darker than the desired outcome color for about 5 days. An ointment is applied over the 5 day healing period that will leave a shine on the area. Patients will be given specific post-treatment instructions, based on the area(s) of treatment. You may resume most normal activities immediately after the procedure.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT OVER TIME?
Complete healing takes 1-6 weeks while the pigmentation matures and reaches its final color. It is normal to need a touch up or enhancement at this time which is included in the original price. It is also normal over years of time for the permanent cosmetics to fade and need an enhancement of color 1 to 5 years out. The fee for this is a fraction of the original procedure, not full price.
HOW DO I CHOOSE THE RIGHT TECHNICIAN?
Choose your technician carefully by considering their training, experience, and examples of their previous work. Check for licensing, certifications, and be sure they have liability insurance. Ask for references from previous patients.
You should never shop for price in this matter. This is your face and a bargain price isn't a bargain if the end result is less than satisfactory. There are many technicians who have had inadequate training who are performing these services. The regulation is so minimal in most states that consumers need to educate themselves before deciding on where to go.
Permanent Make up is truly an art, not just a process. Your goal should be to find a permanent makeup artist, not just a technician. Your results will be only as good as the artist you choose.
You want natural soft cosmetics that enhance your face without being too bold or over done. Color knowledge is one of the most important factors to a quality application of permanent cosmetics. Just look at all the regular cosmetic on the market to see how important color is. You want an artist who understands skin tones and colors that will enhance your face.
Techniques vary for different results so make sure you ask if the artist is capable of giving you the look you want. You want an artist who can do corrections, alterations and camouflage. It makes a big difference in the talent and experience of who performs the procedure. Look for someone who will give you soft, natural results. Take time to check out the artist you are contemplating for services. It is well worth the extra time spent to be assured of quality permanent make up that you can enjoy for years to come.

BEFORE & AFTER - PERMANENT EYELINER, EYELASH TINT & LATISSE

“I am a 39 year-old mother of 3 children and spend most of my evenings at sporting events, inside and outside; and I also have sensitive and fair skin. The decision to get permanent makeup and eyelash coloring was one of the easiest to make. I no longer have the inconvenience of having my mascara and eyeliner running or being rubbed off when my eyes water or when swimming. I always have the look of having makeup on, even when all I did was put on a hat and run out the door! Being fair-skinned leaves me looking pale and I don't like to take the time to put on makeup every day, this was the perfect solution! What every woman would prefer: maintain the beautiful look of having applied makeup while saving time on the "getting ready" process. Thank you Sam!” Cherie T, Appleton
